Lickenbrock Technologies is engaged in contracted research and development. The following are examples of contracted programs completed or underway. For further information contact Tim Holmes, D.Sc. Tim.Holmes@lickenbrocktech.com Air Force Contract for Computed Tomography of Aerospace Components1 Lickenbrock Technologies is developing software under contract for the U.S. Air Force. The software computes and displays computed tomography images from a specialized high-energy x-ray computed tomography scanner. The software analyzes the images, for inspecting manufacturing defects in aerospace components and for finding and diagnosing potential reliability and maintenance problems with the computed tomography scanner. 1Distribution A: Approved for public release; unlimited distribution; PA # 10550. Air Force Contract for a Hyperspectral Retina Camera Under contract with the U.S. Air Force, Lickenbrock Technologies carried out a feasibility study into the future development of a specialized retina camera with hyperspectral imaging capabilities. This feasibility study entailed a system design of the camera, optical hardware integration and testing, and the design and breadboarding of new algorithms that would help to detect potential damage of the retina when exposed to damaging laser radiation. Private Industry R&D Lickenbrock Technologies developed software modules for Heidelberg Engineering Gmbh, for measuring anatomical and pathologic features in the eye. One of these modules has been used in Heidelberg Engineering’s optical coherence tomography (OCT) instruments for measuring risk factors associated with glaucoma. Another was used with Heidelberg Engineering’s HRT II SLO model for measuring retinal thickness, which is helpful for treating certain types of diabetic eye diseases. |
