Advanced Imaging Solutions for Biological Research and Medicine

LTVu-O is the first released product in the LTVu line.  LTVu-O 2.0 provides an easy to use interface that allows  investigators to enhance digital fundus images to more clearly visualize retinal features, including the retinal vasculature in both normal and pathological conditions, and other pathological features such hemorrhages, micro-anuerysms, wedge defects and detachments.

Who can benefit by using LTVu-O

LTVu-O is currently intended for investigational and educational purposes.  Users that would find LTVu-O beneficial include:

· Researchers operating in a medical center environment that use or plan to use retinal images for investigational purposes, and using images as an assay tool for diagnostic purposes.  LTVu-O can improve image quality and provide usable images in situations such as Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) where it is difficult to obtain high quality images. LTVu-O produces excellent results in enhancing the retinal vasculature, making it useful in review of images for Diabetic Retinopathy. LTVu-O allows visually detecting neovascularization and microaneurysms in color fundus images not readily apparent in unprocessed images. Detail in labeled tissue is enhanced in fluorescein and indocyanine green angiograms.

· Researchers processing images of in vitro preparations such as retinal flat mounts.

· Enhancement of fundus images for educational purposes.  Processed images can clarify digital images used to document and review images for educational purposes.

Imaging modalities

LTVu-O can be used to process images from a standard fundus camera, both color and monochrome and for fluorescein angiography as well as indocyanine green angiography (ICG).  LTVu-O can also be used to process images from Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (SLO) systems as well as other laser based fundus imagers.
