Lickenbrock Technologies developed this module for Heidelberg Engineering GmbH. This is a software component embedded within Heidelberg Engineering’s Eye Explorer software package and is contained within their HRT III retinal imaging instrument. The Retinal Thickness Module imports images of the retina that are obtained from the HRT III and, using advanced processing algorithms, it produces a 2D map of the thickness of the retina. This is an important tool for the ophthalmic clinic to detect and monitor edema, diabetic retinopathy and many other diseases. It is the only product on the market that is capable of reliably measuring highly resolved 2D retinal thickness maps. |
